Some of them are surfing spots for tourists who mostly come from foreign countries. In the west part of Lombok which is alongside Senggigi to the north part are located white sandy beaches with stretched coastal line, coconut forest ashore, as we can see Coco Beach from Malimbu hill. Sea tourism can be enjoyed in the three Gilis located in the west part of Lombok Island by going across the sea from Bangsal port. The mountainous Lombok landscape is a special exotism. For example, from Malimbu hill, the tourists can witness the beauty of western Lombok coastal line, Mount Rinjani and the three Gilis; Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno all at one. The magnificence of the slope of Mount Rinjani can be explored by visiting Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfall in Senaru village which is an entrance gate to the area of Mount Rinjani National Park. The splendor and greeny forest like Baun Pusuk forest in which loads of monkeys inhabit is worthy to be explored.
Furthermore, the life of multiethnic society becomes a special magnetism of the island. The custom villages of Sasak tribe who constantly perform their origin rites and special cultures which are reflected in the Lombok architectures and handicraft – traditional woven clothes – still exists today, e.g. Sade village. Religious temples of the Hindu society in Lombok can be found as well, such as Batu Bolong temple in the shore side.
The journey will be incomplete without tasting Lombok culinary, Ayam Taliwang and bringing home the souvenir of Lombok pearl.
